Anil Kapoor

Anil Kapoor is the Founder, President, and Chief Executive Officer of SVAM International Inc., a global technology services firm he established in 1994. Under his leadership, SVAM has grown into an international organization with more than 800 professionals across the United States, India, Canada, and Mexico, delivering innovative solutions in artificial intelligence, digital transformation, legacy modernization, cybersecurity, and enterprise technology.

With more than three decades of industry experience, Anil has led technology initiatives for Fortune 500 companies and public-sector organizations alike. SVAM serves a diverse client base that includes leading enterprises and numerous New York City and New York State agencies, helping organizations modernize operations and achieve strategic business outcomes through technology.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Anil is deeply committed to civic engagement and philanthropy. He serves as a Trustee of the Citizens Budget Commission, a board member of the Long Island Association and LISTnet, and a member of the Dean’s Advisory Board for the College of Engineering and Computing Sciences at New York Institute of Technology. He is also a longtime supporter of youth-focused charitable organizations in the United States and India.

Anil resides on Long Island, New York, with his wife, Ashima, and enjoys spending time with family and friends and pursuing his passion for golf.

 

Robert B. Catell

Robert B. Catell is an accomplished global energy industry leader and is the recipient of the 2009 United States Energy Award. Bob Catell exemplifies the type of individual so heavily deserving of the recognition for which this award was designed.

Bob Catell began his career at Brooklyn Union Gas, a small regional gas distribution utility that he built into one of the largest electric power/natural gas companies in the United States. He also orchestrated the merger of KeySpan Energy with National Grid, a strategic more to foster the growth of a world-scale energy company.

Bob Catell is a past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United States Energy Association, having previously served as Vice Chairman and as a Director, and as both a Chairman and member of various USEA committees. He served as a Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 17th Congress of the World Energy Council, held in Houston in 1998.

He also has served the energy industry in several prominent leadership roles, including as Chairman of the American Gas Association; Vice Chairman of the National Petroleum Council’s Natural Gas Committee; and as Director of the Edison Electric Institute, the Energy Association of New York and the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority. He is also Chairman of the New York State Foundation for Science, Technology and Innovation and Co-Chair of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center.

Bob Catell is a timeless supporter of the New York, Brooklyn and New York State communities, in addition to his global energy leadership. The United States Energy Association is honored to announce Robert B. Catell as the recipient of the 2009 United States Energy Award.

Yacov Shamash

Vice President of Economic Development Stony Brook University

Dr. Shamash is the Vice President for Economic Development at Stony Brook University. As Vice President, Dr. Shamash supervises the University’s four incubators, three New York State Centers for Advanced Technology, the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT), the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center, the Small Business Development Center, and the workforce development programs of the Center for Emerging Technologies. In 1995, Dr. Shamash led SUNY’s colleges of engineering to create the statewide Strategic Partnership for Industrial Resurgence (SPIR) program. Stony Brook’s cumulative results include more than 2,985 projects completed with more than 480 companies, helping company partners win more than $95 million in competitive federal awards. During the period from 1992 to 2015 Dr. Shamash served as Dean of the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Stony Brook University. Under his leadership, the College has grown from 1500 to over 5000 students with average SAT scores of entering UG students increasing from 1150 to 1343, and external research expenditures increased six fold to $30 million. Prior to joining Stony Brook in 1992, Dr. Shamash served as the Director of the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Washington State University and was responsible for the establishment of a National Science Foundation Industry/University Center for the Design of Analog/Digital Integrated Circuits. He is a member of the Board of Directors of Keytronic, American Medical Alert and Applied DNA. He is also a member of the Board of Directors for the Long Island Software & Technology Network (LISTnet) and the Long Island Angel Network. Dr. Shamash has held faculty positions at Florida Atlantic University, the University of Pennsylvania and Tel Aviv University. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees from Imperial College of Science and Technology in London, England. He has authored more than 130 publications and is a Fellow of the IEEE.

Lawrence J. Waldman

Lawrence J. Waldman, CPA, age 72, has served as a director since March 2011 and is currently the Chair of our audit committee and Lead Independent Director of the Board. Mr. Waldman has over thirty-five years of experience in public accounting. Mr. Waldman currently serves as a senior advisor to First Long Island Investors, LLC, an investment and wealth management firm since May 2016.

Prior to that Mr. Waldman served as an advisor to the accounting firm of EisnerAmper LLP, where he was previously the Partner-in-Charge of Commercial Audit Practice Development for Long Island since September 2011. Prior to joining EisnerAmper LLP, Mr. Waldman was the Partner-in-Charge of Commercial Audit Practice Development for Holtz Rubenstein Reminick, LLP from July 2006 to August 2011.

Mr. Waldman was the Managing Partner of the Long Island office of KPMG LLP from 1994 through 2006, the accounting firm where he began his career in 1972. Mr. Waldman was elected to the Board of Directors of Comtech Telecommunications Corp. in August of 2015 and since December 2015, serves as Chair of its audit committee.

Dr. Satya P. Sharma

President and CEO, Zortag

Dr. Satya Sharma is the President and CEO of Zortag, Inc. He is also the Executive Director of the Center of Excellence in Wireless and Information Technology (CEWIT) and a Professor at Stony Brook University. Dr. Sharma was previously Senior Vice President at Symbol Technologies (now part of Motorola) from 1995 to 2003, overseeing various divisions of the company including World-Wide Operations, Mobile Computing & Wireless Engineering, and Quality & Process Improvements. During Dr. Sharmas tenure at Symbol, the revenue increased from $450 Million to more than $1.6 Billion. While leading Symbols Mobile Computing & Wireless Engineering, the company won the National Medal of Technology in 2000, the highest technology award given by the US Government. Symbol was only the third electronics company to win this coveted award in addition to IBM and Bell Labs. He also led Symbol to win the Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing in 2003 and established Symbol’s software center in India and its manufacturing facility in Mexico and oversaw its operations in US, Mexico, Singapore, Japan, China and India.

Prior to his tenure at Symbol, he was Director at Bell Labs and at AT&T Power Systems. He led Lucent Technologies to win the Deming Prize, considered the Noble Prize in Management in 1994, making it the first and still the only American manufacturing company to have this honor. Dr. Sharma also led Lucent to win the Shingo Prize for Excellence in Manufacturing in 1992. Under Dr. Sharmas leadership, Lucent also won the US Senate Productivity Award and the Environmental Excellence Award from US President George Bush.

In 2009-2010, Dr. Sharma was advisor to the Chairman and CEO of Bilcare Technologies headquartered in India and with operations in Singapore, USA and Europe. Bilcare Technologies is a leading enterprise engaged in preventing counterfeiting worldwide. He was also the Chief Operating Officer of RF Technologies, Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 2006 and has been a consultant to a dozen startup and small and medium size companies worldwide.

Dr. Sharma has managed technology, led product development, managed marketing and financial functions, led manufacturing and logistics operations, set strategies and has created great organizations with innovative cultures.

Dr. Sharma has written more than 70 technical publications, has received several patents and is an expert in a wide variety of disciplines including wireless and mobile computing, quality management, materials science, manufacturing, and information technology. He holds a Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA degree from the Ohio State University.

Shahryar Shaghaghi

Cecil McMaster

Cecil McMaster’s professional acumen spans over 25 years of experience in Information Technology leadership as an agent of change for first-class service delivery. Cecil was the Business Information Officer for The New York City Department of Environmental Protection, where he successfully implemented many innovative technology solutions. He was appointed twice as the CIO at the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, whose mission is to protect public health and the environment by supplying one billion gallons of clean drinking water daily, collecting and treating over one billion gallons of wastewater daily, and reducing air, noise, and hazardous materials pollution for approximately nine million New Yorkers. He has also served as the Director of Infrastructure at Web.com, as the New York City Consulting Practice Manager for Microsoft, and as Vice President and Senior IT Systems Manager at Prudential Securities. Cecil has extensive experience implementing technology in the Water and Wastewater industry. Among his many achievements is the implementation of a new customer information and billing system. Additionally, he managed the upgrade of the NYC DEP wide area network to a high-speed 10-gigabit network, and the implementation of New York City’s Automated Meter Infrastructure, a program that continues to provide customers a transparent view of their water usage, while increasing the city’s revenue collection due to data accuracy. To add to these noteworthy accomplishments, he also managed the implementation of a cyber security program for the business network and the Operations Technology Systems (SCADA), to protect the critical water infrastructure for NYC DEP.

Ajay Malhotra serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development at SVAM International Inc., where he has helped shape the company’s growth strategy for over 27 years. A member of SVAM’s executive leadership team since 1998, he is responsible for driving strategic growth, cultivating executive client relationships, and expanding the company’s presence across enterprise and public sector markets. His leadership has contributed to SVAM’s reputation as a trusted partner for technology consulting, digital transformation, and workforce solutions. Ajay holds an MBA in Marketing from Apeejay School of Marketing, New Delhi, and brings more than three decades of experience in business development and strategic sales leadership.

Julie Bashant

Managing Director

Julie Bashant brings 15 years of experience growing government technology portfolios for New York State, New York City, and other public-sector clients. As Managing Director, Public Sector Sales at SVAM International, she leverages deep expertise in public-sector procurement, stakeholder relationships, and capture strategy to position SVAM as a trusted partner across state and local government.

Prior to joining SVAM in January 2026, Julie held progressive leadership roles at Voyatek (formerly GCOM Software), including leading a nearly 200-person IT staff augmentation practice and serving as Vice President, Account Executive. A recognized culture carrier and emerging senior leader, Julie is known for representing her organization at industry conferences and leading internal networking and engagement initiatives. In 2020, she was named to the “Albany 40 Under 40 Rising Stars” list, recognition of both her professional achievements and her impact on the broader business community.

Vikas Dhablania

Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Dhablania has been instrumental in formulating the company’s strategy and building and managing the organization’s consulting practice. He provides leadership for key alliances, capacity growth, process initiatives and business development and has helped the company achieve significant milestones.. Prior to joining SVAM International, Mr. Dhablania was a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, a Summer Marketing Intern for Cyrix Corporation and Assistant Manager, Exports for Pasupati Overseas, Ltd., Delhi, India. Mr. Dhablania holds a Bachelors of Commerce (Honors) degree from Sriram College of Commerce and a Post Graduate Diploma in International Marketing from Delhi School of Economics, both institutes of international repute affiliated to Delhi University, Delhi, India. He also holds an MBA from the University of Nebraska at Omaha where he was the recipient of the Jack Hill Award, an award recognizing outstanding MBA students. His professional affiliations include serving on the board of directors for the Girl Scouts of Nassau County and Central Nassau Guidance and Counseling Services, Inc.

Shankara Rajaier

Shankara Rajaier (Shanks) has 30+ years’ experience in the Application software industry. He joined SVAM in 2019 from HCL America Inc., wherein, as Vice President, he led several strategic initiatives. He managed 3 joint ventures for HCL on BOT/BOA model, 2 large partnerships with IBM and CSC, and many high-value accounts like Lowe’s, Ann Inc, Brightstar, Boots etc. Client Partnership, Consultative Solution Sales, Application Portfolio Transformation, and Global Services Delivery were the key focus areas in these engagements. The JV with Jones Apparel Group (JAG), an apparel footwear fashion retailer, provided the foundation for the HCL Retail vertical. We did a complete transformation of the IT landscape – from mainframe to Open systems, from legacy applications to SAP/Manhattan WMS/ Siemens UGS PLM, and built several Microsoft based MIS solutions. The JV with COMPUTECH, an Oracle ERP boutique firm in Chicago, was the genesis of HCL Oracle practice, which is 2000+ people strong now. The JV with Deluxe corporation created EFunds, an Electronic Payment systems provider, later bought over by Fidelity. The partnership with IBM focused on Omni channel retailing, Customer experience management, Distributed Order management using Sterling DOM & WCS, and a full stack SMB eCommerce solution. The partnership with CSC, now part of DXC, focused on Application Modernization – to transform a portfolio into On-Prem and Cloud solutions. For the high-value retail clients like Lowe’s and Ann, we executed several strategic programs – Large QA/Testing CoE, Customer MDM, Integration CoE, SAP retail, Infrastructure support, and IT Helpdesk. Prior to joining HCL, Shanks managed the operations of a software company in UAE and built 42 clients in the Middle east for an Oracle-based custom ERP solution. Prior to that, Shanks managed the Financial Systems Group for Wipro Ltd, and created partnerships with several banks in India; many banking solutions were developed here. Shanks is married and lives in Edison, NJ. His spouse, Dr. Nirmala Shankar, is a Chemistry lecturer at Rutgers University. We have 2 daughters, both married and settled in USA. Shanks enjoys reading, travel, yoga, and mentoring, and is active in social/charity activities such as Santosh Charity, Kiva.org, Rakum School for blind, Cauvery Calling, Solar Power etc.

Raman Puri

Vice President Growth Strategy and Business Development

Raman brings entrepreneurial experience to SVAM, which helps generate a holistic view of the organization, and create a roadmap on which the entire organization can move forward, cohesively. With diverse experience in areas such as R&D, Manufacturing, Electronics, Software and Managing teams of highly skilled personnel, Raman is able to bring new perspectives to the table, for both clients and SVAM. At SVAM, Raman’s responsibilities include charting out the Global Growth Strategy, and leading Business Development for the India operations. Prior to joining SVAM, Raman was the CEO at Aurora Integrated Systems (a company developing and manufacturing small UAVs), which he had co-founded in 2006. After running the company for about nine years, the founders exited, selling the company to the primary investors, the Tata group. Raman holds a Bachelor of Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He dropped out of Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow after completing the first year of his management studies.

Michael Capilets

As the Managing Director, he is primarily responsible for strategic planning, business strategy development, market segment identification and evaluation, client negotiations, and has overall responsibility for marketing and sales. His duties also include managing a team of highly skilled professionals in the US and India all of whom are focused on maintaining the highest customer satisfaction on all accounts. Since joining SVAM in 2003, he and his team have significantly increased sales revenues making SVAM one of the fastest-growing entities on Long Island.

A customer-focused and visionary sales executive, Michael has demonstrated his ability to lead and has helped the company achieve several significant milestones including providing creative -cost savings and effective -solutions for Motorola, SonicWall, North Shore Health Systems, Federal Reserve Bank of New York, and Deutche Bank. Michael has been a key driver in the setup of SVAM’s proprietary CorrectShore® model to serve it’s US-based customers. With development centers in New York, New Delhi, India and Victoria, Mexico, SVAM can offer clients’ cost-effective solutions through a blend of engagement models.

Michael’s leadership and passion have become hallmarks of his tenure at SVAM, and Michael has infused SVAM with his own brand of energetic leadership, vision, and spirit over the years. He also serves as a leadership coach and mentor to high-potential associates in SVAM’s Mentoring Program. Before joining SVAM, Michael spent over a decade working in the Training and Professional Development Industry with both ExecuTrain an IDG Communications and Dale Carnegie Training. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Big Brother Big Sister.

Scott Mastellon brings a wealth of experience as a senior level executive technology leader in the public sector with over a two decades of public sector experience that includes a long tenure as the CIO of Suffolk County, NY. Scott has been dedicated to spearheading digital transformation in the public sector throughout his career and has an established track record of substantially enhancing operational efficiencies and technology services. His strategic leadership was crucial during challenging times, such as the COVID-19 crisis and a ransomware cyber-attack in Suffolk County, where he led significant technology initiatives and crisis management operations.

As the Managing Director of Public Sector at SVAM, he is responsible for developing and implementing public sector marketing and sales strategic planning efforts that align with SVAM’s core public sector technology services. These efforts will emphasize and highlight innovative technology solutions for our government clients by leveraging his in-depth experiences with Digital Modernization, Cybersecurity, RPA and AI, Salesforce and Data Modernization. Scott’s vision and dedication to excellence position him as a key architect in advancing SVAM’s mission to empower governments with cutting-edge solutions that drive significant advancements in public sector technology services.

Scott holds a degree in Mathematics from SUNY Oswego and has been recognized with numerous awards for his contributions in Suffolk County. His innovative efforts in technology have also been featured in several prestigious industry publications.

Dasham Sidhu

Director Business Development

Dasham brings a strong mix of business, technology and excellent customer service with over a decade of experience and is currently responsible for managing SVAM’s US West Coast Operations. His duties include new business development initiatives, marketing, strategic partnerships, customer management and success. Prior to SVAM, Dasham worked in the Product Management/Marketing group of the Flash Business Unit at EMC Corporation (now DELL EMC). By analyzing the competitive landscape, Dasham helped with brand positioning and pricing of the BU’s star product. He also recommended actionable efforts to strategize and increase future sales efforts. Prior to EMC, Dasham worked in the Networking & Multimedia Group at Freescale Semiconductor (now NXP Semiconductor), where he led multi-cultural global design teams to improve quality and increase gross margins of various embedded technology solutions from the NMG group. Dasham helped Freescale’s customers realize significant cost savings through his initiatives and excellent support and thereby helped increase customer loyalty. Dasham holds an MBA in Marketing & Strategy from the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon and a B.E. in Electronics & Communication from Manipal Institute of Technology.

Jerry McGee

Jerry is a Strategic Business Partner of SVAM International and President of Joseph Consulting since 1994. He has been in the Consulting & Staffing Solutions Industry since 1988 serving clients throughout the United States. He has specialized in Technology, Healthcare and Real Estate sectors over the years. His experience also includes a period of time with focus in the Intelligence Community (NSA, CIA, DOD).

Jerry has an entrepreneurial spirit with strong leadership strengths managing, operating and owning companies with a high degree of character and integrity and a desire to treat others with respect and honor.

Jerry has a Bachelor’s of Science Business Administration Degree in Marketing from the University of Central Florida.

Tim was recently named CEO of ProTRACKPlus, after having joined SVAM International, Inc. as National Sales Manager for ProTRACKPlus in September 2017. Mr. Chase has over 30 years’ experience running numerous economic development corporations and chambers of commerce in Illinois, Texas, and Kansas. Mr. Chase is a nationally recognized leader in the economic development profession as speaker, trainer, and author on the topics of economic development metrics, community development, strategic planning, infrastructure, sales, and marketing. He acquired his Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) designation in 1994 and in May of 2001 Mr. Chase was named a Fellow Member (FM) of the International Economic Development Council (IEDC) for his work in the field of training and education related to economic development. Yesica Heredia Guerrero

Yesica Heredia is a visionary professional with more than 10 years of experience in the IT industry. She has led different areas such as Accounting, Human Resources and Business development throughout her career in which she has developed significant changes for SVAM Mexico, been the most important achievement the organization and development of the administrative area of the Company.

She became the youngest Managing Director in the history of SVAM Mexico due to her leadership, ability to motivate a workforce, strategic planning, negotiation, strong financial background and her commitment to the growth of the Company.

Since 2017, she has been involved on the general operation of the Mexico office, leading the administration of all the resources, growing key business accounts and supporting the office to achieve significant milestones. She also has been participating on the recruitment for USA office of Mexican engineers for several years Prior to joining SVAM International, Yesica was a Tax Consulting Manager at a recognized Firm of Accountants where she was in charge of providing strategic tax solutions, financial analysis and internal audits. She also became the first associate manager of the firm at age of 23.
