From Email Chains to Zero-Touch Disclosure: How RPA Saved 500 Hours a Year

Overview

To ensure compliance with all statutory & constitutional discovery obligations, including disclosure of Brady/Giglio materials, the ADAs must provide information concerning police officers involved in each case. Emails with police officer information are distributed individually to the ADAs handling a particular case for distribution to the respective defense attorneys. In addition, the disclosure folders for the respective officers are updated with the latest disclosure documents.

Challenges

  • Emails with police officer information to be distributed via case management software individually to the ADAs handling a particular case for relaying to the respective defense attorneys.
  • The disclosure folders, stored in a network drive, for the respective officers to be updated with the latest disclosure documents.

The SVAM Difference

SVAM deployed multiple robots to:

  • Receive latest disclosure files via Email
  • Extract the Officer name and store their disclosure files in their respective Network Drive folder
  • Upload the files to case management software case folders and extract associated ADAs information
  • Inform the associated ADAs of the new disclosure file is case management software

Efficiency Unlocked

  • Files could now be loaded to case management software and Network Drives with minimal manual intervention
  • Robots ensure data integrity and quality with no manual errors
  • 500 man hours worth of work saved every year
  • Robots are being continually enhanced to deal with more data
