Talat (Tim) Chaudhry

Throughout his twenty five plus years career, Tim has established a reputation as a transformational leader who is driven by challenge, undeterred by obstacles, and committed to furthering standards of excellence. He is an accomplished executive with a demonstrated ability to deliver mission-critical results, and establish strategic, mutually beneficial partnerships and relationships with users, vendors, and service providers. Tim’s expertise encompasses all aspects of business development, digital marketing, e-commerce operations, and program management—all of which are critical to control costs, maximize revenues, expand market presence, and improve company wide performance.

Tim has recently led the teams at SVAM to successfully complete CMMI®, ISO® 27001, and ISO® 9001 Audits. He also oversees the company’s global Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG), which is responsible for ensuring deployment of quality management, project management, and engineering standards in all internal and client projects.

As part of SVAM’s global Program Management Office (PMO), Tim has championed change and effectively managed the implementation of new ideas and process improvement opportunities, collaboratively managed business processes, and supported company-wide initiatives to streamline and integrate systems that improve data consistency and integrity. Tim also oversees critical measurement and analysis activities, which includes project and organization performance dashboards to track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and other ad-hoc, weekly, monthly, and quarterly project reports.

As part of the business development team, Tim is responsible for identifying and qualifying new opportunities, and supporting overall strategic planning of pursuits/capture activities that support the business development metrics for awards, submits, and pipeline. He works with diverse internal teams of account executives, business development, and proposal management, from receipt of an RFP to submission of the final proposal, to ensure proposal responses carry out winning strategies and competitive discriminators.

Tim has led the effort to redesign the company website as part of the company’s new digital marketing strategy to increase SVAM’s website traffic and generate qualified leads using email, social media channels, SEO, and search advertising. Tim is responsible for reviewing and evaluating new technologies and techniques with the goal of their possible implementation into new digital marketing strategies. He also utilizes website analytics/research on user experiences to make any necessary changes in marketing strategy.

Prior to joining SVAM, Tim ran a successful eCommerce business, which he founded and grew into a multimillion-dollar enterprise by sourcing and marketing consumer electronics under a private label. As a hands-on eCommerce entrepreneur, Tim setup and optimized online sales and marketing channels, and identified direct-to-consumer and business-to-business sales strategies to maximize profitability.

Before his entrepreneurial endeavor, Tim worked at MetLife as an Enterprise Technology Account Manager, where he managed key relationships with application development managers, technology partners, and offshore teams. He also advised the company’s Chief Privacy Officer on security and compliance matters, and helped manage the Program Management Office. At JP Morgan, as a Vice President – Technology Infrastructure Manager, he managed technology infrastructure projects, developed and implemented technology strategies, and ensured efficient and clear communication between business units and IT support teams. Tim started his professional career working at Stony Brook University as a Programmer/Analyst; He later progressed to a management role and started an Information Services Department for the Campus Services division.

Tim currently holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from Project Management Institute (PMI). Tim also worked as an Adjunct Professor at New York Institute of Technology, teaching Operations Management. Tim graduated from Stony Brook University with a Bachelor’s of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering and also holds two Master’s degrees from Stony Brook University.
